Linda M. Farley

Linda is an accomplished speaker, writer, and consultant. Before starting her own company, she had over 25 years’ experience with AT&T, managing sales, retail, and customer service operations. She was the Zone Manager, AT&T Phone Centers as well as National Training Manager and Staff Manager Marketing/Personnel. She has managed multi-state operations of over 100 employees with revenue of over $16M.

Business Operations:  Linda began her first business at age 11 and continued an entrepreneurial focus throughout her life.  She managed diverse businesses for AT&T which included responsibility for inventory, marketing, personnel, merchandising, profitability, margin management and security.  She wrote the curriculum for the South Texas Women’s Business Center which is used to educate small business owners on business and marketing plans, management skills, operating a profitable business.  She has developed manuals for sales, marketing and operational procedures.

Personnel Management: Linda has managed multi-state teams of over 100 people and served as Human Resources Manager for a 13 state area.  She mediated union grievances at the second step and handled personnel issues such as hiring, performance improvement, evaluations and skill development.  Linda routinely coached managers on management and supervisory skills.  She has developed training, facilitated and coached management staff for aviation, non-profit, government, banking, financial and a variety of other industries.

She is known for her ability to make difficult things seem simple, to challenge participants to be more engaged in the learning, and to provide a solid learning experience.

She has extensive experience in developing courses for processes and technical training as well as soft skills for a variety of industries. Instructional design projects usually consist of detailed leader’s guides, participant workbooks, slides, and handouts or job aids. After three years of use, one client still refers to the blended learning program Linda developed as “the Gold Standard.”

A highly skilled facilitator who can make training programs come alive and get the best out of corporate retreat sessions, she incorporates accelerated learning and adult learning theory into all her sessions. Using accelerated learning promotes recall and makes the learning experience unique; adult learning theory principles helps to remove learning barriers for individuals.

Linda has a high level of expertise in training trainers and training program managers. She was chosen by the U. S. Air Force Personnel Centers and the City of San Antonio to train their training staff.

Community: Committed to community involvement, Linda was the 2002 President of the San Antonio Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development and is a Board Member of Network Power Texas.  She is also a Senior Instructor for San Antonio College.
